The leftover stuff from any mods you had installed will still be there in the save. It's time for the modding community to move onto better, more sophisticated ways of sharing content. Hence the preset plugin. This type of minor mod can be removed easily without any awful side effects to your game. Open the Creation Kit. Make sure to run the program as an Administrator to avoid problems down the road. You can set the Creation Kit to open as Administrator every time by choosing Properties from the drop-down menu, navigating to the Compatibility tab in the Properties window, and checking the box labeled Run this Program as Administrato r.

The Creation Kit will take a few seconds to open. Once it does, go to File in the top-left corner and choose Data from the drop-down list. Check Skyrim. This may take a while. If the Creation Kit encounters any errors, hit Yes or Ignore. This is normal and doesn't mean anything is wrong. For future reference, if you ever want to edit your mod again, check Skyrim. The next thing to do is save your mod. Navigate to File in the top left, where you just were, and choose Save from the drop-down menu.

Give your mod a clearly descriptive name. I can't emphasize this point strongly enough. When people name their mods ambiguously, it's really annoying. When you are finished saving, exit out of your Creation Kit. Whatever you named your mod, you need to go to the mod manager you are using, whether it be the launcher or the Nexus Mod Manager, and uncheck your mod in the load order. There is no point in having an empty mod enabled.

Now, start up Skyrim. Create a character that you would like to share, or open your old save. Make sure that you are out of the ShowRaceMenu. You can decide whether or not to save your game after this, it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

We are going to use this to make the face of the preset. After we are done, don't delete the. NPC file.

You can use it to make followers with the preset's look, give NPCs the preset look, ect.. I generally tend to include mine in my mods just in case anyone wants it. I've recently started to play Skyrim again and I've wen't to mod it however, I am unable to download anything from nexusmods.

Vortex previously known as Nexus Mod Manager is a program for easy management of modifications for the game The Elder Scrolls v: Skyrim , as well as other Games. It allows you to avoid the manual installation of each fashion, and rapid deactivation of projects, which have not enjoyed the US tastes, so we can avoid having to reinstall the entire game. The Program has its own Installer. When you first start select The Elder Scrolls v: Skyrim application also supports other games , and then let us search for the downloaded changes.

You can also specify them manually. Activation modes is done by clicking on the 'Mods', select a project and click on the option 'Activates the selected mod'. Simply upload them to our image share and select the competition category 'Screenshot Competition '.

We will be judging the screenshots based on artistry, humour,. Check out my "Google Docs" Document for a tutorial! This one is important for the animations! Well this is how the Dragon Priests look for me: Dragon Priest And the Taverns also look normal to me, while using the exact same build as shown here. I also just now figured something out about the missing walls inside of inns - I traced it back to Enhanced Lights and VFX.

Any ideas here? I just figured out why High Gate Ruins was making my game crash - it had nothing to do with textures or shaders, but rather the furry replacement mod. I realized that the crash had nothing to do with the area itself, but the dragon priest inside it - I confirmed this by spawning a dragon priest, which resulted in a crash.

For some reason, the game really doesn't like how the furry mod changes dragon priests, so all I had to do was manually remove that part of the mod and that fixed the problem. Thanks - I currently use Vortex as my mod manager. The only thing that felt complex to me was installing FNIS - the first time I did it every NPC got stuck t-posing eventually I got it though I didn't find anything else that complicated. I've actually been modding games for a long time and have even created some small mods myself but this is my first time messing with textures and shaders and such in Skyrim.

I didn't feel like I messed anything up along the way but apparently I did. I've been a little busy irl lately so I haven't had much time to figure this out. Thank you for your help. At the moment my friendslist is full so I am not able to add you either. So feel free to write here!

I also have other questions. Because you seem to be new to modding at all, could you explain me what might have been too vague and too complicated? So I can adjust some things. May I ask you what Mod Manager you use? That is times better than talking it here out. Sounds like its your first time modding? Yeah I'm not confident in the slightest that I did everything right. As for the rollback, I used the Nexus tool I'll try resinstalling the texture mods, but my internet kind of sucks so it might take a while Thanks for your help so far.

Also the rollback. Did you used the Nexus tool, or did you just switched the. Try to reinstall all the texture mods again. Hey, thanks for the reply. I did accidentally install the AE update but I used the patcher to roll it back before I started all this. I was also sure to start a new save after I was done The only inns I found that are missing walls are the Winking Skeever and the Bannered Mare I didn't run LOOT after the installation, but I ran it just now and it didn't change my load order or fix anything I'm not sure how I messed up the ENB setup or how I can fix that Here's a screenshot of the missing walls if that helps.
